T: Thermister Speed Control (IC)
Fan with optional Thermister Speed Control will automatically regulate the speed (RPM) according to the temperature. The higher the temperature is the higher the RPM.

R: Alarm High (IC)
The Alarm High option is designed to detect abnormality. When blocked by an obstacle the output signal will rise to the higher voltage and starts the warning device.

S: Alarm High-Low (IC)
The Alarm High-Low fan is like the "R" version except that when the the third wire is connected to an oscilloscope there is a negative pulse being sent approximately every 11/2 seconds when the IC tries to automatically restart the fan.

Q: Alarm Low (IC)
The Alarm Low fan is like "R" version expect that when the impeller blade is stopped the third wire output when viewed on the oscilloscope will be at 0V and +5V when the fan is OK. This version allows for "hard wiring" the alarm outputs together when two or more fans are in a tray. This way the red outputs can be connected to s single circuit input to tell the system processor to shut down the system because one of the fans in the tray has failed. An operator can then replace the failed fan. In this version the third wire when viewed on the oscilloscope will have no positive pulses when the IC tries to restart the impeller blade every 11/2 seconds when the impeller is locked.

F: Speed Sensor/Tachometer (IC)
These fans have an IC, which is used to measure speed by means of calculating pulses. Every revolution brings about two complete pulses.

C: 4-Wire Fan with Alarm High and Speed Sensor/Tachometer (R+F)
These fans have an IC that offers both the Alarm High wire as described in the "R" version and a Speed Sensor/Tachometer wire as described in the "F" version. The IC also protects the fan motor from overheating and tries to restart the fan automatically every 11/2 seconds if the impeller is locked.

O: 4-Wire Fan with Alarm High-Low and Speed Sensor/Tachometer (S+F)
These fans have an IC that offers both the Alarm High-Low wire as described in the "S" version and a Speed Sensor/Tachometer wire as described in the "F" version. The IC also protects the fan motor from overheating and tries to restart the fan automatically every 11/2 seconds if the impeller is locked.

M: Thermister Speed Control and Speed Sensor/Tachometer (T+F)
These fans offer speed variation with temperature by thermister/IC as described in the "T" version and a Speed Sensor/Tachometer wire as described in the "F" version. The IC also protects the fan motor from overheating and tries to restart the fan every 11/2 seconds if the impeller is locked.

P: 4-Wire Fan with Alarm Low and Speed Sensor/Tachometer (Q+F)
These fans have an IC that offers both the Alarm Low wire as described in the "Q" version and Speed Sensor/Tachometer wire as described in the "F" version. The IC also protects the fan motor from overheating and tries to restart the fan automatically every 11/2 seconds if the fan blade is locked.

I: IC Version with 2-Wire
These fans have the locked rotor function only. Please note that all fans with IC have locked rotor function.
